Chinese pianist Lang Lang yesterday received the inaugural Daphne Music Award in Copenhagen in recognition of his artistic achievements and efforts to bring classical music to wider audiences. The new international prize was launched by the Danish Research Foundation, and it carries an endowment of EUR650,000 (USD758,755).
