Lin Xi, head of hardware products for ByteDance’s Doubao smartphone project, has left the company, Cailianshe reported yesterday. This is the first departure of a core hardware executive since the Chinese firm launched its AI phone initiative in 2024. Lin previously worked at Huawei.
