China and the EU have confirmed the official establishment of the China-EU trade and investment consultation mechanism, with Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, Interinstitutional Relations, and Transparency Maros Šefčovič co-chairing the first meeting, Xinhua reported, citing a joint statement.
