A Fuxing bullet train departed from the newly opened Xi'an East Railway Station today, marking the launch of the Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed railroad, a major new transport corridor linking central and western China, Xinhua reported. The 257-km railroad has a designed speed of up to 350 km per hour.
