Twenty-one people had died and 541 others remained missing in the mudslide-hit area of southwestern China’s Xizang Autonomous Region as of noon today, CCTV News reported, citing local authorities. China's insurance companies have made a preliminary assessment of losses at CNY450 million (USD67 million), according to the National Financial Regulatory Administration.
