Leapmotor has become the first Chinese automaker to set up an independent battery factory in Europe, the company said on Oct. 16. The facility, located in Mallén, Spain, will support production of the B10 NEV model at the vehicle plant in Zaragoza, about 30 kilometers away. The first of the locally produced compact crossover SUV rolled off the assembly line on the same day.
