BYD plans to launch L3 conditional autonomous driving by 2028, Yang Dongsheng, senior VP of the Chinese NEV giant and dean of its Automotive New Technology Research Institute, said yesterday. Higher levels of autonomous driving could follow one to two years later through further tech iterations, he added.
