Chinese PV firms told Yicai that the US tariff hike will only have a little impact on their business in the short term, as most of their products are indirectly exported to the country, after the White House announced to double tariffs on China-made solar cells to 50% this year. The Biden administration yesterday unveiled increases in tariffs on Chinese imports, including EVs, chips, and medical products. Import duties on China-made EVs were quadrupled to 100% and those on China-made semiconductor products were doubled to 50%.
