A team of Chinese and Swiss scientists developed an energy-efficient sensing-computing neuromorphic chip, Speck, that mimics the neurons and synapses of the human brain, Xinhua reported today. Speck boasts an impressively low-resting power consumption of 0.42 milliwatts, and the study was published in the journal Nature Communications.
