Shanghai inspected over 226,000 entities in its anti-smoking campaign last year, fining 888 institutions and 1,010 individuals a total of CNY2.2 million (USD298,000), local health authorities said yesterday. Shanghai was China’s first city to ban indoor smoking in 2010 and prohibit the use of e-cigarettes in public indoor spaces in 2022.
