Chinese filmmaker Cao Baoping won the Golden Goblet Award for Best Director for One Wacky Summer at the Shanghai International Film Festival. The best actor and actress awards went to Jose Martins for his performance in The Scent of Things Remembered and Wan Qian for her role in Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts.
