HKD107 billion (USD13.6 billion) were raised on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the first half of the year, up 22% from the whole last year to make the HKEX the world's leading fundraising bourse, Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Paul Chan said yesterday. Exchange-traded products linked to different types of assets have become key in supporting the liquidity of Hong Kong stocks, especially during market fluctuations, he added.
