Shi Yongxin, head of China’s famous Shaolin Temple, is under joint investigation for suspected criminal offenses, including embezzlement of project funds and temple assets, the temple said in a statement yesterday. Shi is also accused of violating Buddhist precepts, allegedly having inappropriate relationships with multiple women and at least one illegitimate.
