Chinese local governments issued new bonds worth over CNY2.6 trillion (USD365.7 billion) in the first six months of this year, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. Of the total, CNY452 billion (USD62.8 billion) were general-purpose bonds and over CNY2.1 trillion were special-purpose bonds.
