A direct air cargo route for fruits and vegetables from Urumqi in China's northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Dubai launched on Aug. 16, with the inaugural flight moving over 18 tons of melons, tomato products, grapes, dried apples, and others, Xinhua reported.
