E-commerce giant JD.Com was the private Chinese firm with the highest revenue last year, followed by peer Alibaba and oil refiner Hengli Group, according to the 2025 Top 500 Private Enterprises List released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce today. 72% of the companies on the list are from the secondary industry, and 66% are in manufacturing.
