China's fixed-asset investment inched up 0.5% to CNY32.61 trillion (USD4.58 trillion) in the first eight months of the year from a year earlier, according to data released by the NBS today. Investment in property development plunged 12.9% to CNY6.03 trillion (USD847 billion).
