(Yicai Global) Feb. 8 -- Wondfo Biotech Co., a leading Chinese maker of medical diagnostic tests, has signed a deal with Siemens' China medical unit for the subsidiary to provide Wondfo with services and support, as part of efforts to boost its service excellence.

The unit of medical giant Siemens Healthineers will provide technical support for Wondfo Biotech and its medical partners, including cost-effective equipment, improved after-sales services, as well as training, the Guangzhou-based company said in a statement.

Founded in 1992, Wondfo Biotech specializes in the research and development, manufacture and sales of rapid diagnostic reagents and related tools. The company set up a Chicago branch in 2008 and has sold its products in 12 countries. It has also been in close cooperation with the World Health Organization and other international agencies.

The partnership will further help Wondfo build a professional, human-centered and information-based medical service system. The German company will also put on a series of events for Wondfo covering tumor diagnosis and treatment, medical imaging, physical examinations, among others.

Siemens Healthineers is one of the world's leading service providers and equipment manufacturers in medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and healthcare information technology. It has four subsidiaries in China: two in Shanghai and one each in Shenzhen and Wuxi.
