China's BONC Gains as Unit Teams With Intel on a 'Digital Employee' China's BONC Gains as Unit Teams With Intel on a 'Digital Employee'

(Yicai Global) June 5 -- Shares of Business-intelligence of Oriental Nations surged after a unit of the Chinese Big Data solutions provider said it intends to launch a service of virtual employees.

BONC [SHE: 300166] closed 6.6 percent higher at CNY12.68 (USD1.80) and the equity price is over 40 percent up in the past 12 months.

Dongyun Ruilian Wuhan Computing Technology, a subsidiary of BONC, will release OMHuman, an artificial intelligence solution based on Intel’s Next Unit of Computing hardware and OpenVINO, an open-source toolkit, jointly with Intel on June 20, the unit of the Beijing-based company announced on its WeChat account.

OMHuman has already worked as a presenter in several large conferences, and in the parent company’s 2023 annual work meeting, Dongyun Ruilian added.

OMHuman uses Intel’s graphic three-dimensional rendering and inference engine technologies to create physical and interactive "digital employees" to help enterprises in the entertainment and education sectors to improve work efficiency and service experience and reduce costs, it said.

Unlike traditional virtual humans, OMHuman relies on AI algorithms to build virtual identities in real time. Based on Intel’s high-performance hardware, Dongyun Ruilian’s algorithms, and OpenVINO's inference engine, it can engage in advanced dialogue.
