(Yicai Global) Oct. 24 -- Chinese stock markets finished the morning lower whereas banking equities rose by 1 percent.

The Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.22 percent to 2,935.25. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.36 percent to 9,533.71. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, dropped 0.3 percent to 1,645.38.
