(Yicai Global) April 17 -- BASF is donating 100 million face mask to Germany and another 1 million to the State of Rhineland-Palatinate where the world’s largest chemicals maker is headquartered.

Sourced in China, the first batch of masks has arrived in Shanghai, the Ludwigshafen-based company said in a statement today. BASF expects them to arrive at Frankfurt Airport at the beginning of next week.

The company has turned to its purchasing networks and logistics in China to secure the personal protective equipment and is paying for the products and their transport, according to Chairman Martin Brudermüller.
