(Yicai Global) June 29 -- China's mainland stock markets fell in the morning session while the financial sector suffered the largest loss.
The Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.71 percent to 2,958.46 by the noon break. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 11,743.66, down 0.59 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.63 percent to 2,367.49.
The securities sector dived more than 2 percent, and Zhongtai Securities [SHA:600918] logged the biggest loss of 6.7 percent. Insurers were not saved from the downturn as state-owned China Life Insurance [SHA:601628] dropped 2.8 percent.
