(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- CanSino Biologics’ collaboration with Canada’s National Research Council has not terminated, the Tianjin-based pharma giant announced yesterday.

The NRC, which is the North American nation’s main governmental research and technology organization, declared the cooperation dead yesterday over shipment delays, Reuters reported, but no corresponding announcement has appeared on NRC's website.

The pharmaceutical company’s stock [SHA: 688185,HKG:6185] fell 4.38 percent to CNY258.58 (USD37.25) and rose 0.33 percent to HKD179.50 (USD23.16), respectively, by midmorning.

No CanSino executives have attended any interviews in relation to the clinical trials for the vaccine called Ad5-nCoV in Canada recently, the firm said.

The company is currently driving the international multi-center phase III clinical trial of the coronavirus shot with several countries, CanSino added.

CanSino and the NRC teamed up in May to advance clinical trials of the vaccine and produce it in Canada starting this summer, if the jab proved effective, projecting monthly production at 70,000 to 100,000 dosages.
