(Yicai Global) Nov. 24 -- Chinese private energy giant CEFC China Energy Co. is in talks with Russia's largest oil producer Rosneft OAO [MCX:ROSN; LSE:ROSN] for the purchase of a stake in the Rospan International gas field of up to 49 percent worth between USD2.75 and 4.5 billion, media reports in Russia state.

Rosneft Oil is looking for investors in the project, which is the company's third-largest field by exploitable reserve volume, said a source working for the Russian firm's creditor.

The reserves of the gas field are worth some USD8 to 9 million in total.
