(Yicai Global) Oct. 21 -- Shares of Anli Material Technology jumped after the Chinese manufacturer said that it will be providing environmentally friendly synthetic leather to the US owner of brands such as Vans, the North Face, and Timberland.

Anli's stock price [SHE:300218] rose as much as 4.5 percent to CNY13.80 (USD2.10) this morning.

The Chinese supplier has passed VF Corp.'s evaluation while the first order is not expected to be large, the Anhui province-based firm said in a statement yesterday. Market demand will determine the size of Pennsylvania-based VF's future orders for its shoes, luggage, and apparel, it added.

Last week, Anli secured a similar supplier verification from New York-based PVH that operates brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
