(Yicai Global) Feb. 14 -- The ChiNext Price Index hit another three-year high this morning as China's mainland stock markets moved higher.

The ChiNext, which  tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, closed 0.98 percent higher at 2,084.84 going into lunch after hitting an intraday high of 2,104.01, its highest point since December 2016. The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.52 percent to finish the morning at 2,921.25 and the Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.79 percent to 10,949.68.

The gains come as more and more novel coronavirus cases are being confirmed in Hubei, but the rise in new cases outside the disease's epicenter have fallen for 10 straight days, possibly indicating that the epidemic is slowing in other regions.
