(Yicai Global) April 17 -- China's nominal personal disposable income increased by 0.8 percent to CNY8,561 in the first quarter, but the inflation-adjusted rate was down 3.9 percent, the country’s National Bureau of Statistics announced today.
Average disposable income for city dwellers was CNY11,691, up 0.5 percent on the year before, but a 3.9 percent drop when adjusted for inflation, while that of rural residents was CNY4,641 in a 0.9 percent increase, but down 4.7 percent after inflation.
