(Yicai Global) Oct. 19 -- China's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 6.7% year-on-year in the first three quarters of 2018 to about 65.09 trillion yuan (about 9.38 trillion US dollars), data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Friday.

In the third quarter, China's GDP rose 6.5 % year-on-year, lower than the 6.7% growth recorded in the second quarter, according to NBS data.

Fixed-asset investment grew 5.4% in the first three quarters of the year, up from 5.3% for January-August.

Retail sales of consumer goods grew 9.3% year on year in the first three quarters this year. The growth slightly slowed from the 9.4% rise seen in the first half, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Real estate investment increased 9.9% year on year in the first three quarters of this year. The growth was slightly slower than the 10.1% expansion recorded in the January-August period.
