(Yicai Global) May 8 -- China, the world's largest energy consumer, imported an almost record high 43.73 million tons of crude oil in April, the General Administration of Customs said today.
The figure was the second highest monthly import volume ever, behind the 43.78 million imported in December. Last April, the country imported 39.46 million tons of crude.
Over the first four months of the year, China imported 164.9 million tons, up from 151.4 million from the same period last year.
