China's Interbank Rates Move Both Ways After PBOC Cash Withdrawal

(Yicai  Global) Aug.21 -- The Shanghai Interbank Offered Rates went mostly lower today despite the People's Bank of China withdrawing cash from the nation's monetary system for the third day this week.
 

The overnight SHIBOR was 5.88 basis points lower at 2.5832 percent and  the one-week rate fell 1.10 bips to 2.6530 percent, but the SHIBOR for three-month loans climbed 0.3 bips to 2.6740 percent.
