(Yicai Global) June 18 -- China's JCHX Mining Management has won a tender to provide underground engineering services with an estimated value of USD288 million at the Kamoa Copper Project in the Congo.

The project in southern Congo's Lualaba province will last till December 2023, Beijing-based JCHX Mining said in a statement yesterday. The contract value will be based on the actual workload and the unit price agreed by both parties.

Xiamen's Zijin Mining Group indirectly acquired a 40 percent stake in the project company Kamoa Copper in 2015. The copper resources of the mine rose nearly 40 percent to 33.4 tonnes in 2016, one-third of China's current tally, Zijin Mining said on its website earlier.
