(Yicai Global) Aug. 8 -- China's mainland stock markets rose ever higher after bouncing back at the opening bell to arrest their slide of earlier this week.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.91 percent higher at 2,793.92. The Shenzhen Component Index ended at 8,906.81, up 1.04 percent, and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, edged up 1.43 percent to 1,521.73 at the break.
