China's Markets Closed Higher as Over 100 Stocks Hit Limit Up

(Yicai Global) June 11 -- China's stock markets continued to soar after opened higher today, with more than 100 stock rising to the daily limit up and only around 40 closing lower. 

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 2.57 percent higher at 2,925, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 3.72 percent to 9,035. The ChiNext soared 3.91 percent to 1,487.

Northbound funds from Hong Kong to Shanghai and Shenzhen logged a net inflow of CNY7 billion, which kept up a net inflow for six consecutive trading days.

Securities stocks closed 5.92 percent higher on average, and civil engineering stocks closed 5.26 percent higher.
