China Merchants Port Holdings Co. Shares Jump Nearly 8% on First Half Financial Results(Yicai Global) Aug. 31 -- The shares of China Merchants Port Holdings Co. [HKG: 0144] jumped 7.88 percent in late trade at Hong Kong stock market Thursday, reaching its highest point, HKD26 (USD3.32), by 13.50 p.m. in nearly two years.
The company shares soared on the release of its interim first half financial results today. Profit attributable to equity holders reached HKD3,148 million, up 86.3 percent year-on-year.
The board also proposed an interim dividend of HKD0.22 per share and a special interim dividend of HKD1.35 per share for "celebrating the 25th listing anniversary."
