(Yicai Global) Aug. 23 -- China's weather forecaster Moji Fengyun Software Technology Development will provide monitoring services for all the country's food delivery platforms, including Alibaba's Ele.me, Meituan-Dianping's Meituan, and Baidu's Waimai to improve their operational efficacy.

Moji Weather and domestic food takeout firms signed cooperation agreements to start using the Beijing-based company's data tools, online news outlet Sohu Technology reported, without disclosing the financials of the deals.

China's food and beverage takeout market will reach CNY243 billion (USD35.3 billion) in value this year, data from Hong Kong-based market research firm iiMedia Research show.

Moji Weather is able to provide the platforms with weather reports that are precise to the level of minutes and the range of kilometers, as well as a delivery plan within 2 hours by the means of artificial intelligence, big data, and climate analyzing tools to lower the risk of losses caused by changing weather conditions.
