China’s SF Holding Aims to Double Revenue From Supply Chain Services by 2023 China’s SF Holding Aims to Double Revenue From Supply Chain Services by 2023

(Yicai Global) July 9 -- SF Holding aims to increase revenue from its supply chain business by at least two times over the next two years as it accelerates the upgrading of its digital and smart layouts, a senior executive at the Chinese courier giant’s unit Shenzhen SF Supply China told Yicai Global today.

SH Holding’s supply chain business revenue jumped by over 40 percent last year, greatly boosted by the acquisition of DHL’s supply chain unit in China in 2018, Chief Digital Officer Sun Wei said at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference being held in Shanghai.

The takeover helped channel more customers to SF Supply China, making it the country’s largest contract logistics service provider, Sun said. It also brought DHL's research and development solutions in digital and intelligent technology to the Chinese market, he added.

"For many companies, increasingly personalized and complex consumer needs require ever more flexible supply chain management. This can be realized by the digital upgrading of the supply chain system," Sun said. That is why the firm is investing tens of millions of US dollars in the field every year, he added.

Together with robot maker Youibot Robotics, the Shenzhen-based company debuted an automated solution for warehouse stocktaking at WAIC that is eight times more efficient than human workers.
