China's Stock Markets Narrow Earlier Gains in Afternoon Trading; High-Speed Railway Stocks Perform Best(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- China's stock markets snapped earlier gains at the end of late trading today. The high-speed railway company shares were among the day's best-performing stocks.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.31 percent to close at 3,407.57 points in afternoon trade after hitting 22-month high of 3,414.24 points earlier, with turnover of CNY238.6 billion (USD35.9 billion).
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.21 percent at 11,461.28 points, turning over CNY273.7 billion.
The Growth Enterprise Index dropped 0.13 percent to 1,910.72 points, with CNY73.4 billion swapped.
