(Yicai Global) Nov. 22 -- China's major mainland stock indexes closed lower as the market extended its losses after bargain-hunters failed to push the major indexes to a rebound after a strong morning start.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.63 percent to 2,885.29 at the close in a nadir since Aug. 26, The Shenzhen Component Index ended 1.51 percent lower at 9,626.90, while the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth stocks, dropped 1.95 percent to 1,679.80.
