(Yicai Global) Feb. 25 -- Chinese semantic intelligence company TRS Information Technology and digital marketing firm BlueFocus Intelligent Communications Group will link arms to create virtual human beings with a ‘unique soul’ and promote their application in the metaverse, an alternate digital reality.

The avatars will be able to communicate and will have a unique personality, Beijing-based TRS said yesterday. They will feature in areas such as broadcasting, intelligent customer service and smart social services.

Together the two parties will build an influential metaverse business ecosystem, TRS said. No details of investment amounts or projected earnings were given.

TRS is a leader in Chinese natural language processing, big data accumulation and other core artificial intelligence technologies, it added.

Both firms’ share price edged up today. TRS [SHE:300229] was trading up 0.7 percent at CNY11.52 (USD1.80) as of 1 p.m. China time. BlueFocus [SHE:300058] gained 1.8 percent to trade at CNY7.90.
