(Yicai Global) Aug. 15 -- China's YY will join hands with talent agency Yuehua Entertainment, which manages Chinese-South Korean boy group Uniq, to live stream nearly 20 of Yuehua's artists on YY's video platform to boost fan experience.
Yuehua and YY have reached an agreement to deepen their collaboration by creating live shows, fan events, video blogs, and game live streaming, tech news outlet Mydrivers reported today.
Founded in 2009, Yuehua has signed various famous performers, including singer and actor Han Geng, songwriter Tiger Hu, and NEX7 C-pop boy group that rose to fame from Idol Producer, a Chinese reality TV show.
The pair has already organized three celebrity events in June and July, including live concerts and fan gatherings with a viewership of 12.2 million people who would watch the show for 36 minutes on average. However, some fans spent nearly 12 times more time than that, according to the Guangzhou-based video firm.
The deal will enrich YY's content offering and the firm will strive to cooperate with different sectors to diversify user experiences, Vice President Zhang Ying told the same source.
