China's Dreame Enters Semiconductor Race With NXMind AI Chip Portfolio(Yicai) March 12 -- Smart home appliance maker Dreame Technology unveiled its “Human-Vehicle-Home-Sky-Chip” ecosystem and launched its chip brand NXMind, marking the Chinese company's entry into semiconductors spanning smartphone processors, autonomous driving chips, and robot system-on-chips, with its first mass-produced chip set to be deployed in robot products.
The Suzhou-headquartered robot vacuum cleaner giant revealed its latest technologies at the 2026 Appliance & Electronics World Expo in Shanghai yesterday.
NXMind’s first commercialized product is the “Tianqiong” series pan-robot chip, which uses a heterogeneous platform integrating multi-core central processing units, dedicated neural processing units, and independent microcontroller units. The chip supports lidar and artificial intelligence visual fusion perception as well as binocular obstacle-avoidance algorithms, targeting navigation functions for household robot vacuum cleaners.
In autonomous driving, Dreame introduced an integrated cockpit-and-driving chip built on a two-nanometer process, with single-chip computing power of 2,000 trillion operations per second, which the company claims is three times the industry mainstream level and sufficient to support Level 4 autonomous driving. Its mobile processor, the Chixiao 01, features a self-developed NPU architecture and a graphics processing unit based on desktop-class architecture, supporting full-scenario ray tracing and stable operation at 120 frames per second at 1.5K resolution.
Space Computing and AI Infrastructure Plans
In computing infrastructure, NXMind also revealed plans for a space computing network, including a near-Earth-orbit supercomputing center consisting of two million computing satellites. The first self-developed “Yaotai” space computing box is scheduled to be launched into orbit soon for system verification.
The company also released its first personal super AI computer, delivering computing power of 1.5 petaflops, supporting multi-device interconnection, and capable of locally running large models with more than 10 billion parameters.
NXMind will leverage the tens of millions of units shipped and real-world application data accumulated by Dreame in robotics and intelligent cleaning appliances to enable the co-development of chip technologies and robotics businesses, said Fu Haiyang, head of the chip business.
Founded in 2017, Dreame’s product portfolio includes vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, smart rings, air conditioners, and washing machines. The company held a 12.4 percent share of the global robot vacuum cleaner market in the third quarter of last year, ranking behind Ecovacs Robotics and Roborock Technology, according to IDC.
Dreame recorded more than CNY40 billion (USD5.79 billion) in operating revenue and CNY5.5 billion (USD801 million) in profit last year, founder and Chief Executive Officer Yu Hao said previously. He also wrote in a WeChat Moments post that Dreame’s ecosystem aims to become “the first company ecosystem with a value of over USD100 trillion in human history.”
