(Yicai) May 17 -- Shares of Hefei Gocom Information Technology jumped after the Chinese developer of rail transit signal control systems joined hands with Chinese artificial intelligence giant iFlytek to promote the application of AI technologies in the mining and railway transport fields.

Gocom’s shares [SHA: 688367] were trading up 5.1 percent at CNY13.94 (USD1.93) as of 2.35 p.m. in Shanghai today.

Gocom and iFlytek will work together on AI technology-based in-depth solutions for the mining industry, advance the intellectualization of mining operations, and develop driverless technologies for industrial railways to make transportation safer and more efficient and achieve efficient and intelligent transport operations, the Hefei-based company announced yesterday.

Moreover, the pair will jointly promote new smart products and services based on their leading technologies and make full use of their sales network and client resources to hike their market shares and make their brands more influential, Gocom noted.  

The partnership will also explore more application scenarios of large language models for the mining and railway industries based on iFlytek’s capabilities in intelligent voice interaction and LLMs and Gocom’s technologies and market experience in the fields of mining intellectualization and industrial railway automation, Gocom added.

Gocom is China’s leading specialized supplier of railway signal control and safety dispatch systems and intelligent mine construction solutions. Its core products include signal control and intelligent dispatch facilities for industrial railways and underground mines.
