China's Jereh Secures Fourth Gas Turbine Generator Order From US Data Centers in Two Months China's Jereh Secures Fourth Gas Turbine Generator Order From US Data Centers in Two Months

(Yicai) Feb. 2 -- Jereh Oilfield Services Group, a Chinese diversified energy services firm, has secured its fourth order for gas turbine generators from US data center developers in about two months.

Jereh's subsidiary GenSystems Power Solutions will provide the unidentified US client with USD182 million worth of gas turbine generators over 30 months, the Yantai-based parent company announced yesterday.

The gas turbine generators of this order are capable of meeting the high-load, high-reliability, and low-emission consumption scenarios required by data centers. They feature a highly integrated design, enabling rapid transportation, on-site assembly, and flexible expansion. Moreover, the incorporation of emission reduction solutions allows them to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.

This order shows that the firm's gas turbine generators have gained widespread recognition and high trust from North American customers in terms of equipment performance, delivery capability, and overall service strength, Jereh noted.

This achievement marks a diversification of the company's customer base in North America, consolidating its competitive advantage in the global data center power supply sector, and enhancing the global brand influence and market competitiveness of its products, Jereh added.

The order value is about 9.5 percent of Jereh's audited revenue in 2024, so it is expected to have a positive impact on the company's future operational performance, Jereh pointed out.

Jereh's shares [SHE: 002353] were trading up 2 percent at CNY89.98 (USD12.94) as of 1.35 p.m. today, after earlier gaining as much as 6.9 percent. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.8 percent.

This is the fourth order for gas turbine generator sets that GPS has received from US clients since late November last year, as the rapid growth in demand for computing power and electricity services driven by artificial intelligence training has boosted demand for high-end generator sets from local data centers.

GPS signed two supply deals totaling USD212 million with a US AI giant in late November and early December, and a contract worth over USD100 million with another US client at the beginning of last month. The total sales amount for the four orders is about USD500 million.
