(Yicai) Aug. 21 -- Chinese artificial intelligence unicorn Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology launched the world's first mobile agent, AutoGLM 2.0, yesterday. Once installed on a mobile phone or computer, the app can be instructed to handle a wide range of tasks across different apps such as booking flights, ordering takeaways as well as generating and posting videos.
In real-life scenarios, users only need to issue a single voice command to operate dozens of popular apps such as food delivery platform Meituan, e-retailer JD.com, social networking site Xiaohongshu and video-sharing platform Douyin, it said.
For example, on receiving a voice command such as "Order 20 bubble teas from the nearest outlet using a discount coupon," the system can automatically bypass ads, select items, confirm the quantity, apply discounts and bring the user straight to the final payment stage, where all he or she needs to do is hit confirm.
In the workplace, AutoGLM can also manage entire workflows across websites such as Lark, NetEase Mail, Zhihu, Weibo, Douyin and Microheadline. It can search for information, create content as well as generate videos, powerpoint presentations and even podcasts, and then publish them directly on social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Douyin.
AI is no longer just a "chatting tool," the Beijing-based company said. It is becoming a truly versatile agent that can do your work for you, completely transforming the way people interact with AI.
AutoGLM's task execution capabilities have been packaged into an application programming interface, Zhipu said. This makes it easy for other devices such as smartphones, watches, glasses and even home appliances to become intelligent assistants powered by the system.
Zhipu, founded in 2019, focuses on developing next-generation cognitive AI models and driving innovation in large language models within China.
