(Yicai Global) Aug. 30 -- Kaistart.com, the Chinese crowd-funding and consumer service platform run by Hangzhou Buyi Network Technology Co., raised CNY190 million (USD28.9 million) in its C-round funding, with Yunfeng Capital Co. investing CNY150 million and Certain Capital Co. contributing CNY40 million, Jiemian News reported.

With the new funding, the firm is worth more than USD200 million.

Kaistart connects entrepreneurs with investors for offline consumption upgrade projects. It currently has 20 million users, some 500,000 of which have made purchases or taken part in crowd-funding projects on the site. It focuses on three main sectors, bed and breakfasts, catering, and new agriculture.

Incapital LLC put up an angel investment in 2015. Meridian Capital China and Yinbaodian Capital led A-round funding in November the same year and in Feb. 2016, Matrix Partners China and Vision Capital led A+ round financing. In June last year, Kalends invested CNY100 million in B-round financing to take the total up to around CNY400 million.
