(Yicai) Sept. 26 -- Xpeng Motors said the leading Chinese electric vehicle startup will launch multiple new models in Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia.
Xpeng has linked arms with Swedish mobility provider Hedin Mobility Group to release the new Xpeng G6 and the G9 in Switzerland, with the two models scheduled to begin production in Europe this quarter, the carmaker announced today. In addition, it plans to launch the P7+ in the first half of 2026.
Regarding the sales network, Xpeng and Hedin will start with the latter's retail location in Dielsdorf and progressively build a sales system covering Switzerland, the Chinese firm noted, adding that seven of Hedin's existing locations will concurrently be upgraded to Xpeng brand sales and service centers.
In addition, Xpeng said it will enter the Austrian market in October, adopting the authorized dealer model it has successfully validated in Germany. Initially, its network will cover Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, and other major cities, while it plans to expand to 10 locations this year and 20 by the end of next year.
Xpeng will simultaneously enter Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia to expand its footprint in Southeastern Europe. A joint venture set up by AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group will manage operations in these three markets.
