(Yicai Global) Feb. 22 -- Aluminum Corporation of China, the country's largest listed aluminum company and better known as Chalco, has installed President Lu Dongliang as chairman after Yu Dehui resigned from the post.
He Zhihui, the chairman of Chalco's listed unit China Aluminum International Engineering, will succeed Lu as president, according to a statement. The Beijing-based firm has also nominated He as a director candidate and he has stepped down from his current role.
Yu, aged 59, took up his current position in April 2016 and is currently general manager of Chinalco, the majority shareholder in Chalco.
New Chairman Lu has been in the industry for many years, with more than 20 years in financial management and working experience in the non-ferrous metals industry. Lu had been Chalco president since last February.
Incoming President He has chaired China Aluminum International Engineering since March 2016. He has also served as the director of the joint board of RTCI, the technological cooperation center between Chinalco and Rio Tinto, since December 2014.
