(Yicai Global) Nov. 4 -- China's mainland stock markets lacked dominant direction in the morning as investors stood back to watch how the ongoing US presidential election is turning out.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.03 percent to 3,272.06 by the lunch break. The Nasdaq-like Star Market Board 50 Index, or Star 50, climbed 0.38 percent to 1,454.47.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.31 percent to 13,621.65. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.13 percent to 2,740.62.
