(Yicai Global) March 19 -- Major stock benchmarks on the Chinese mainland markets rebounded in afternoon trading to close mixed, after an early sell off took the Shanghai benchmark index to a new one-year low.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.98 percent at 2,702.13 when the closing bell rang, after an intraday low of 2646.80, its lowest point since February 2019. The Shenzhen Component Index finished 0.1 percent weaker at 10,019.86, while the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, closed up 0.42 percent at 1,894.94.
