(Yicai Global) Nov. 11 -- Chinese mainland stock markets widened their declines in the afternoon, and the tech-heavy Star Market performed the worst.
The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 1.83 percent to 2,909.97. The Shenzhen Component Index ended down 2.17 percent to 9,680.57. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth stocks, slid 2.23 percent to 1,673.13.
The Star Market, Shanghai's Nasdaq-style tech board, fell as much as 5.4 percent. Within mainland markets, telecoms were faring badly with a 3.9 percent decline.
